This morning, AltPress hosted the premiere of The Jealous Sound’s new track “Change You,” from the band’s upcoming full-length album A Gentle Reminder, due out January 31st via Music Is Subjective/Fontana Distribution.

Made in the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 with John Lousteau producing, A Gentle Reminder features founding members Shehan and guitarist Pedro Benito working alongside the Foos’ Nate Mendel (filling in on bass for the departed John McGinnis) and new drummer Bob Penn. This will be the first album released by the band after a nine-year hiatus, following their successful debut LP Kill Them With Kindness.

Give Me Fire was a huge commercial success throughout Europe and Scandinavia. The single ‘Dance With Somebody’ topped radio charts and was a youtube phenomenon (10 million+ views). Mando Diao spent much of 2009 and 2010 on the road performing concerts and TV show appearances to support the record in Europe, Japan, China, and South America.

Give Me Fire will be the fourth studio album from Mando Diao to be released in America. Bring ‘em In, Hurricane Bar and Ode to Ochrasy established the band in the USA, providing extensive touring opportunities, appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Coachella Music Festival and DirectTV.

Mando Diao has a particular connection to America on this record as they spent some time in Los Angeles recording parts of the album. The band visited 3 studios, including vintage Fairfax Recordings, absorbing the culture and opportunities that Los Angeles has t offer. The trip culminated with a sold-out premier concert for Give Me Fire at the legendary Troubadour. Mando Diao has strengthened the ties to Los Angeles and Hollywood on the latest release Above and Beyond MTV Unplugged by including icons Juliette Lewis and Ray Davies as guest stars.

The album release is getting an exciting start as the single ‘Dance With Somebody’ is featured in the commercials for this season’s Dancing With The Stars on ABC.
